The conference theme was “Safe and Smart Cities” on responsibility for city safety is shared between multiple agencies and safe city initiatives are about prevention (through better sharing of intelligence) and risk mitigation (through better incident management.). The conference proposes to bring together experts from the government, other enforcement agencies and the industry to discuss and debate security challenges of smart cities, fair use of technology and issues of capacity building that will help mitigate security threats.
