Under Tamil Nadu Uniform Services Recruitment Board held in districts

: As many as 1, 200 candidates took part in the recruitment to Grade – II constables under Tamil Nadu Uniform Services Recruitment Board scheduled at District Sports Stadium here on Tuesday.
The candidates for posts of constables, jail warders and firemen went through various procedures of selection.
A total of 3,780 candidates, including 3, 255 men and 525 women, would go through selection procedures. Super Check Officer, Rajesh Das, Inspector General of Police, South Zone, inspected the proceedings in the presence of Chairman of Sub Committee, Sandeep Mittal, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Armed Police, Chennai and Superintendent of Police, J. Rajendran, Member – I of the Committee.
In the first round of selection procedure, certificates of the candidates were verified and subsequently height and chest measurement was done. Women candidates would participate on August 23 and 24.
Tirunelveli
A total of 1,112 candidates, who had passed the written test for the Grade II constable posts, turned up for the physical measurement taken at Anna Stadium on Tuesday.
As 4,241 candidates including 679 female candidates passed the written examination held on June 24 last, 1,200 male candidates had been invited to appear for the physical test commenced on Tuesday.
However, only 1,112 of them only turned up and physical measurements of these candidates were taken under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirunelveli Range, V. Varadharaju and the Superintendent of Police, Tirunelveli, Vijayendra S. Bidari at Anna Stadium, Palayamkottai.
After the physical measurement of the candidates is taken, the aspirants will have to appear for the physical endurance test that will commence on August 25.
Dindigul
Selection for secondary grade constables and fire service personnel commenced at Armed Reserve Police grounds at Seelapadi near here on Tuesday. Inspector General of Police Shankar Jiwal was the super checking officer. Certificate verification and endurance test like 1,500 m race were conducted for candidates from Theni and Dindigul districts on the first day. A total of 4912 men – 2,771 in Dindigul and 2,140 in Theni – and 568 women including 392 in Dindigul and 176 in Theni, appeared.
